Iceland: Gljúfrabúi, the not-so-secret waterfall

Scroll down to content

The. Secret. Waterfall! Says the marketing department. Though Gljúfrabúi is hidden behind the rocks, it’s not so secret anymore since they made a walking path that leads you from Seljalandsfoss to the waterfall. Yet it is stunning.

Gljúfrabúi is about 150 metres away from its famous neighbour, Seljalandsfoss. Thesedays it’s far easier to get there than in the past as there is a proper walking path now that leads you to the waterfall.

Walk under the rocks (don’t forget your raingear as it is wet) and enjoy!
